Jacob Laursen
Meet the man behind JL Academy: Jacob Laursen, is a former professional danish football player. Jacob has played in the danish superliga, where he won the championship twice, once with Silkeborg IF and FC Copenhagen. Jacob also played for many years in the premier league with Derby County and late on in his career with Leicester City. Jacob ended his playing career in Austria with Rapid Vienna.
Jacob has also represented Denmark at The Olympics 92, Intercontinental Cup 95, Euros 96 and World Cup 98. After ending his playing career Jacob continued to work within the world of football, in various positions spanning from career planning to coaching at elite youth level.
Motivation
Jacob has always had a natural ability to inspire and develop talent, which has led him to a new career path as football adviser and later founder of JL Academy. Here he uses his in-depth knowledge and experience to shape and strengthen the next generation of footballers.
His approach is characterized by the same professionalism and dedication Jacob displayed on the pitch, now with the focus on helping young football players develop their skills, tactical awareness and love of the game.
From thought to action
Jacob’s journey from elite football player to mentor and coach is marked by his deep understanding of the many facets of sport – from physical conditioning to mental preparation.
The JL Academy is the culmination of this journey, a place where young female and male football players from the age of 8, can learn from one of the best and most dedicated players in the game, and where Jacob’s experience from the elite world of football, will be the perfect match for the next generation of young football players to reach there goals and potential.
